It’s National Donut Day, yay! Over here we’re celebrating with the best warm and yummy treats from none other than Duck Donuts Philadelphia location. I honestly have been counting down to this day, since mid May and was so excited, I got a donut t-shirt. I mean can you blame me though?

Donuts are a way of life really. I remember as a kid, everyday after school I HAD to have a jelly filled donut. It was a ritual for me, along with my patty and hot dog, yup, true {proud} foodie over here. Of course that may not be your experience with donuts, but most of us has one right? Even so, just having one for breakfast is reason enough to celebrate National Donut Day. As a matter of fact, most donut shops are offering us donut deals for the day, including Duck Donuts. Their offer is a fave of my mine; ‘buy one get one’. If that’s not winning, especially on a Friday, I don’t know what is.

My love for Duck Donuts, however started a few months ago, while working in the area. A coworker of mine introduced me to them. My very first donut was vanilla with coconut shreds, which instantly left me hooked! I then found myself craving a warm cake donut daily. It got to the point where I was buying a half of a dozen donuts after work, even though I already had one in the morning. To emphasize my love for Duck’s donuts, I would have two donuts during the drive home!

Now that we’ve covered the fact that I may have had a slight addiction, let’s get into my latest visit to Duck Donuts. Upon my arrival, I spoke with the manager Katie, who was so nice and welcoming. During the recording of my vlog, we did a mini interview about the company’s background. By the way, did you know they were named after the town in North Carolina; Duck? Which is also where the original Duck Donuts is located.

With that said, I chose half of a dozen donuts. Which were vanilla icing with coconut, chocolate icing with vanilla drizzle, powdered sugar, strawberry icing with sprinkles, lemon icing and vanilla icing with oreo crumbles. They were all yummy, most notably, the vanilla coconut and the oreo crumbles. Duck Donuts also has a few flavors for all you dessert lovers who prefer the wild side, like their maple icing with bacon donut! I think I may try that next time, just to say I did, what do you think?

At this point do I need to say it? Ok fine, heck yes I would recommend Duck Donuts to any fellow donut lover. The quality, flavor and taste of their donut are great, plus the location, cleanliness and their friendly staff all makes the experience even better!

Tell me what was the best donut you ever had, and where were you? Only because I want to try it too lol.

Happy National Donut Day sweeties, Love Atalee.
